“Spongebob Squarepants” Creator Dies at 57

Stephen Hillenburg former marine biology teacher, created one of the most famous child TV show of all time in “Spongebob Squarepants”. Hillenburg announced last year that he had amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Hillenburg was born on August 21, 1961, in Oklahoma and died on November 26, 2018. Spongebob is a very iconic show, with 12 seasons and the episodes lasting a brief 11 minutes. Despite the simplicity of the TV show, there have been two movies along with a Broadway show based off the cartoon. No matter how old you are, you’ve probably seen the show, and it has probably made you smile and that is all Hillenburg ever wanted in making the children’s cartoon.

  1. Another hero from our childhood is taken away by 2018. All of us will remember him, and all of us will remember his loud half-annoying voice. That’s why we loved him as a kid, and as a teenager. Keep up the good job!

  2. My favorite show as a little girl and now another piece of my childhood has been taken away. I used to watch it every day and it’s crazy to think that the person who created it is now gone. RIP.
